Traveling was not a family affair growing up for Kayla Marie on the central California coast, but she has more than made up for it over the years. “My family was never really the traveling type which is why I think I wanted to be different and actually go out and explore and see all new places and have experiences that you can’t just get always from being in one place,” she said.

Traveling might have been something that she has picked up more over the years, but a camera was smoothing she picked up very early on. She said, “When I was 9 years old. I used to sit on my balcony every night as a kid watching the sunset and one day my dad came home with a camera. It was a canon and I fell absolutely in love with it. I had no idea what I was doing at first and it became a fun little hobby and he would blow up my pictures and put them all over the house. It later grew into a passion of mine by the time I was 11 and that was it. I was hooked from there and knew it was what I wanted to do!”

Her photos capture the adventure in a believable manner meaning in an era of heavy editing, you can find the real deal in all of its beauty on her feed.

Yosemite was the first location she visited that she said blew her away, and here photos of the park can do the same for you.

But if the mountains are not your thing, then maybe here photos of her adventures down the coast will do the trick. She describes the California coast as “Breathtaking, there is something beautiful to be seen at every turn! The beaches, the towns and when you’re driving you have no obstructed views.”

She definitely has made up for her travels over the years and has some advice for you if you are looking to hit the road any time soon. She said, “Look into everything! Mode of transportation, accommodations, culture, travel insurance, passports and vaccinations.”
