Custer State Park
Home to a herd of 1,500 bison, Custer State Park is South Dakota's largest and first state park, named after Lt. Colonel George Armstrong Custer. The park is known for its scenery, its scenic drives, with views of the bison herd and prairie dog towns. Encompassing 71,000 acres in the Black Hills, Custer State Park is home to abundant wildlife and adventure; camping, hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, or relaxing, there’s something here for everyone.
Portland Art Museum
The seventh oldest museum in the United States, the Portland Art Museum was founded in late 1892 and has become one of the top art museums in the world. Today the museum has a collection of more than 50,000 objects that reflects the history of art from ancient times to today and devotes 90 percent of its gallery space to its permanent collection.
C.H. Nash Museum Chucalissa
One of the most important archeological sites in Memphis, the C.H. Nash Museum Chucalissa. Chucalissa means "abandoned house" in Chickasaw. Today the museum is located on and exhibits excavated materials of the Mississippian culture archaeological site. Visitors can learn lets about the history and the vibrant and sophisticated culture of these ancient people.
Copper Ridge Dinosaur Trackways
Discovered in 1989 and located on the desert north of Moab, the Copper Ridge Dinosaur Trackways has an amazing set of dinosaur tracks accompanied with beautiful scenery.The tracks are located 200 yards away from an easy jeep trail. The dinosaur tracks are in a fluvial sandstone, interpreted as an ancient sandbar.
High Desert Museum
Opened in 1982, High Desert Museum brings regional wildlife, culture, art and natural resources together through indoor and outdoor exhibits of wildlife in natural-like habitats inorder to promote an understanding of natural and cultural heritage of North America's high desert country.
