Custer State Park

Home to a herd of 1,500 bison, Custer State Park is South Dakota's largest and first state park, named after Lt. Colonel George Armstrong Custer. The park is known for its scenery, its scenic drives, with views of the bison herd and prairie dog towns. Encompassing 71,000 acres in the Black Hills, Custer State Park is home to abundant wildlife and adventure; camping, hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, or relaxing, there’s something here for everyone.

Portland Art Museum

The seventh oldest museum in the United States, the Portland Art Museum was founded in late 1892 and has become one of the top art museums in the world. Today the museum has a collection of more than 50,000 objects that reflects the history of art from ancient times to today and devotes 90 percent of its gallery space to its permanent collection.

World's Tallest Filing Cabinet

Built in 2002 by local artist Bren Alvarez, the filing cabinet is made up of 38 drawers, with each one representing the number of years of paperwork that Alvarez accumulated while working on a local street project.

C.H. Nash Museum Chucalissa

One of the most important archeological sites in Memphis, the C.H. Nash Museum Chucalissa. Chucalissa means "abandoned house" in Chickasaw. Today the museum is located on and exhibits excavated materials of the Mississippian culture archaeological site. Visitors can learn lets about the history and the vibrant and sophisticated culture of these ancient people.

White Pocket

White Pocket mad of Navajo sandstone, is a unique rock formation and easily accessible for hikers. Enjoy exploring the awe-inspiring slickrock. These windswept layers of orange, yellow, and white formations were created over time by mineral deposits and shaped by the elements.

Chazen Museum of Art

Built 1969, Chazen Museum of Art has countless works of art from both North American and European Artist. Artist with works include Salvador Dalí, René Lalique, and Andy Warhol.

Bannack State Park

Founded in 1862, Bannack, now a state park, was named after the local Bannock natives. Bannack was the site of a major gold discovery in 1862, and served as the capital of Montana Territory briefly in 1864. Today the Bannack State Park preserves some of the states early history.

Shevlin Park (Bend)

Established in 1921 by the City of Bend and named after Tom Shevlin, the Shevlin Park is a 981 acres park along Tumalo Creek with aspen trees and meadows.

Copper Ridge Dinosaur Trackways

Discovered in 1989 and located on the desert north of Moab, the Copper Ridge Dinosaur Trackways has an amazing set of dinosaur tracks accompanied with beautiful scenery.The tracks are located 200 yards away from an easy jeep trail. The dinosaur tracks are in a fluvial sandstone, interpreted as an ancient sandbar.

High Desert Museum

Opened in 1982, High Desert Museum brings regional wildlife, culture, art and natural resources together through indoor and outdoor exhibits of wildlife in natural-like habitats inorder to promote an understanding of natural and cultural heritage of North America's high desert country.
